What Is a Box Type?

A box ticket wins if your four digits are drawn in any order. How many orders exist depends on repeated digits, which gives each ticket its "box type."

• 24-way box (e.g. 1234): 24 winning orders, about 1 in 417
• 12-way box (e.g. 1123): 12 orders, about 1 in 833
• 6-way box (e.g. 1122): 6 orders, about 1 in 1,667
• 4-way box (e.g. 1112): 4 orders, 1 in 2,500
• Quads (e.g. 1111): straight only, 1 in 10,000
